Lo and behold, it's replaced (rolled back) my graphics card driver to the old kludgy one that was causing the problem. Now it's back to FAN, stutter, and slow framerates on my 940m all over again. While Windows Update will update your computer system including the Device Drivers automatically, or the software updaters of your graphic hardware will inform you when updates are available, there may be a time when you may have to on you own update your systems video and graphic drivers, if you are facing issues like Laptop screen brightness flickering or if you wish to get better performance out of your system.
So I need to update Inter(R) HD Graphics family as well as NVIDIA Ge Force card drivers.
I can reinstall n Vidia's drivers, but it will only last till I restart the computer.
I am not aware of any way to block a specific update, what can I do? I think perhaps a little more information might be useful.
Unfortunately, due to the wide range of possible driver, video card and operating system combinations, hardware acceleration or 3D web graphics (Web GL) may still not work for you in Firefox.
In these instances you fix the problems by disabling hardware acceleration and Web GL.
